OB/GYN Dr. Kezia Spence of NY Presbyterian Hospital visits Lisa’s Living Room.

Dr. Kezia Spence grew up in Baltimore, MD. Afterward she ventured to Providence, RI to complete her undergraduate and medical school studies at Brown University. Throughout this time she focused on her growing passion for women’s healthcare, doing summer research at the Mt. Sinai Adolescent Health Center in New York City. She followed her love of women’s healthcare, completing her training in obstetrics and gynecology at Stamford Hospital (A teaching affiliate of Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons). During her residency she received awards for best oral presentation for her research in decreasing cesarean section rates and the resident award for excellence in minimally invasive surgery.
Attracted to the diversity and vibrancy of New York City, Dr. Spence set up her practice here. Dr. Spence is passionate about providing quality healthcare to patients of all backgrounds as well as cooperative planning to decrease the maternal mortality rate for Black women in New York City.
