Tara Favors is a Vice President, HR Business Partner for the Global Merchant & Network Services (GMNS) business at American Express. In this role, Tara is responsible for providing Performance, Talent and Change Leadership to the GMNS organization.
Prior to joining American Express, Tara was a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley, where she worked for 15 years. During her tenure, she held multiple roles within HR including: HR Coverage to the Technology Division of the company, leading the Leadership & Development group, and lastly, senior HR Coverage Officer. In that role, she was responsible for overseeing the Human Resources strategy for the Firm’s Corporate units, including the Finance, Risk, Internal Audit and Legal and Compliance Divisions. In addition to her time at Morgan Stanley, Tara also held senior leadership positions at Revlon, Deutsche Bank and Merrill Lynch.
She is also actively involved with the community. Tara is a member of the Leadership Council of The Valerie Fund, which provides comprehensive health care services to children with cancer and blood disorders, and former Vice President of the Greater Essex County Chapter of Jack and Jill of America, Inc., an organization dedicated to nurturing and strengthening African American children. She is also a member of the Syracuse University’s Multicultural Advancement Council and a Board member of NJ-LEEP.
Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Human Resources from Syracuse University, and a Master of Science degree in Human Resources from The New School University. She is married to Dale Favors and has two sons, Dalton (19) and Davis (16).

Dr. Jocelynne Rainey is a seasoned executive with over 20 years of management experience and a leader in the non-profit sector in New York City. As CEO and President of Getting Out and Staying Out (GOSO), a leading citywide non-profit serving justice-individuals, Dr. Rainey oversees programming which has helped more than 10,000 young men access education, achieve emotional well-being and secure meaningful employment since it’s advent 16 years ago. GOSO’s innovative workforce development program, GOSOWorks, has placed hundreds of justice-involved young men in paid internships and permanent jobs in numerous growth industries in the metropolitan area.

Before GOSO, Dr. Rainey was Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer for the Brooklyn Navy Yard Development Corporation (BNYDC) , leading workforce development, administration, security and human resource strategies for the organization. She established impactful partnerships in order to connect the underserved community in Brooklyn with career opportunities in the Yard’s growing industries, eliminating barriers to employment for disadvantaged populations and increased placements of formerly incarcerated individuals to 20 percent and total workforce placements from 100 to over 500 in eight years.
Prior to her tenure at BNYDC, she was the Human Resources Director for specialty food retailer Agata and Valentina. Dr. Rainey also has held senior positions at Independent Living Association, Home Depot and Boar’s Head. A graduate of Southern Connecticut State University, Dr. Rainey holds a master’s in administration from Metropolitan College and a doctorate in Leadership from St. John Fisher College. She is a member of the New York City Workforce Development Board, a trustee of the New York College of Technology Foundation Board and the Mark Morris Dance Group Board. Dr, Rainey is the recipient of several prestigious honors including being name One of Crain’s Notable Black Leaders and Executives 2021 and one of The Network Journal’s 25 Influential Black Women in Businesses in 2016.
Tamiko Guthrie is an advocate for people with disabilities and preventative care services to underserved communities. Her passion has led to among many things, being a Care Manager and Self-Direction Broker for the Office of People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD).

Tamiko holds over a decade of professional experience in corporate and regional healthcare including certifications as a master trainer/lifestyle coach for the CDC’s Diabetes Prevention Program and as a Peer Leader for the Stanford University Diabetes and Chronic conditions Self-Management Programs. In this role, she has partnered with the Department of Health, Department of Environmental Protection, Office of Labor Relations, Department of Aging, and American Health Insurance Health Plans.
Tamiko attended Howard University and obtained a Bachelor’s degree within the SUNY system. She is currently a graduate student pursuing a Masters in Community Health Education.
Fatima Sanchez is a Registered Nurse (RN) and Educator with over 16 years of experience in the Nursing profession. She is currently employed as a Home Care Nurse and Certified Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) with the Visiting Nurse Service of New York (VNSNY). Fatima provides in-home medical care to patients and support to their families and caregivers.

Fatima has been an instructor for over a decade, educating students at both the Bachelors of Science (BSN) and Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) levels. She is passionate about ensuring students entering the nursing profession are properly trained and recognize the importance of their duties. The opportunity to provide patients with compassion, hope and comfort is what attracted her to Nursing. Fatima highly values these qualities and is an example to those she educates.
Fatima served for 2 years as Vice President and is the immediate Past President of the Bergen & Hudson counties (Region 2 chapter) of the New Jersey State Nursing Association (NJSNA). NJSNA represents the interests of the state’s 110,000 Registered Nurses by speaking with state and federal political leaders; advancing Nursing by offering classes/seminars and networking opportunities. Currently, she is in the role of Co-Chair of the Region 2 Chapter. To heighten the Nursing profession, Fatima is planning to run for a Board Member seat on the State and County Nursing Board. Fatima recognizes the importance of having your voice heard regarding nursing legislation and policy changes.
Fatima earned her Bachelor’s of Science from the College of New Rochelle and her Masters of Science in Nursing from Mercy College. Fatima is also an entrepreneur. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and their five children.
