Tuesday, June 2nd is Blackout Tuesday in response to the killing of George Floyd. Mr. Floyd was added to the very long list of African-Americans killed or threatened simply because of the color of their skin. On this day we are asked to disconnect from work but reconnect with the community.
Lisa’s Living Room invites you to join the conversation about the racial injustices continually perpetrated against Black and Brown people. We will discuss what is our personal responsibility for a racially equitable society, how to turn anger and frustration into something powerful and effective and lastly, where do we go from here?
This conversation is open to everyone. You just have to have good will, a good heart and an open mind.
Not everything that is faced can be changed. But it cannot be changed if not faced. — James Baldwin
